This is an abstract piece that demonstrateshow he lost himself to the memories and that his fight was unsuccessful. He fell back on those feelings of worthlessness and was unable to move on from his past, instead, he let the memories and trauma of the war consume him till he was no longer visible and but a mere shell of the human he once was. No longer recognisable.
